Clip selection for podcasts, interviews & keynotes

The clips are already in your episode.

You recorded 58 minutes. Maybe five of them will travel. I find those five, timestamp them to the frame, and tell you why each one works, so your editor can cut them the same day.

48-hour turnaround. New episodes or your back catalogue.

01What I do

Your old episodes are full of reels nobody posted.

I take long recordings, new or from the archive, find the parts that work on their own, and turn them into a plan for short vertical clips.

1

You send an episode

A podcast, an interview, a keynote, a panel. Last week’s or three years old.

2

I find the moments

I watch all of it and mark the minutes that stand on their own, to the frame, with a reason for each.

3

They become clips

Your editor cuts them for Reels, Shorts and TikTok the same day. Or I do.

02The problem

The hard part was never the editing.

Cutting a reel takes twenty minutes. Deciding which twenty seconds deserve to be a reel takes two hours of scrubbing, second-guessing, and settling for the bit you happened to remember.

So most shows post the intro. Or the guest’s credentials. Or whatever happened to be on screen when the editor ran out of patience.

Meanwhile the actual moment, the one where the guest stopped performing and said something true, sits at 41:12, and nobody ever finds it.

You can’t talk someone into alignment.

03What you get

A pick sheet, not a maybe.

For every episode:

  • Timecoded in and out points, frame-accurate. Not “somewhere around forty minutes.”
  • One line on why each moment earns a post. If I can’t say why, it doesn’t go on the sheet.
  • A hook line for each clip. The words to put on screen in the first second.
  • A marker file for DaVinci Resolve, Premiere or Final Cut Pro, if your editor would rather not copy-paste timecodes.
  • 48-hour turnaround. Rush available.

You get the judgment. Your editor keeps the cutting.

04The work

Watch the reel. Then read the sheet it came from.

Each sample plays as a finished reel. Underneath it is the pick sheet: timecode, duration, and the reason. That’s exactly what lands in your inbox.

05How it works

Three steps. 48 hours.

  1. Send the episode. A file, a link, whatever you have. No transcript needed. I make my own.
  2. I watch it. All of it. There’s no shortcut here and I don’t take one.
  3. The sheet lands in 48 hours. Cut them yourself, or have me cut them.

07Who this is for

This works if

you publish on a schedule, you already have someone who can cut, and you’re tired of posting the intro.

This doesn’t work if

it’s a one-off episode with no publishing plan, you want thirty clips a month at volume, or you need it back tomorrow for $50.

They don’t need to believe what you believe. They need to believe that you do.

08About

Who’s actually watching your episode.

I’m Goran. I’ve spent 30+ years editing audio and podcasts, long enough to hear the turn in a conversation before I see it in the waveform.

Choosing the moments is the part of this job I’m best at, and the part everyone outsources last. So I made it the whole business.

One person. Your episode doesn’t go to a queue.

09Questions

Before you send one.

What if the picks are bad?

First episode: if the sheet is useless to you, don’t pay for it. I’d rather hear that than have you quietly not come back. One per client, first episode only.

Can you work from old episodes?

Yes, and it’s often the best place to start. A back catalogue is full of moments nobody posted. Tell me how many episodes and I’ll schedule it.

Do you need the video, or is audio enough?

Audio works. Video helps. I can see when someone leans in.

What files do you take?

mp4, mov, mkv, wav, mp3, or a link to wherever it lives.

Do you edit the clips too?

Yes, $95 each. But it’s not the main job. Most clients already have an editor and just want to stop guessing what to hand them.

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes.

Who owns the work?

You do. All of it, including the pick sheet.

Do you use AI?

For transcription, yes. For deciding what’s worth posting, no. That’s the thing you’re paying for.

One episode. Two clips. $89.

If they’re good, the $89 comes off your first package. If they’re not, you found out for less than an hour of an editor’s time.
